Sustainability begins with products that last. Every Vitrocsa system is engineered in Switzerland to deliver decades of reliable operation. Our minimalist frames use minimal material while achieving maximum structural performance, and all components are designed to be serviceable and replaceable — extending product life far beyond industry norms.

By designing for longevity rather than obsolescence, we reduce the embodied carbon impact of replacement cycles and keep material in use for longer.

3. Materials and Manufacturing

We take a deliberate approach to material selection and manufacturing:

• Aluminium: high recycled content, fully recyclable at end of life
• Glass: high-performance insulating units designed for thermal efficiency and recyclability
• Stainless steel components: sourced from European suppliers with certified environmental standards
• Manufacturing: precision machining at our Yverdon-les-Bains facility, powered by Swiss hydroelectric and renewable energy
• Waste: recycling of metal, glass, and packaging waste streams across all production stages

4. Energy and Buildings

Our window systems are engineered to contribute to low-energy and passive building standards. High thermal performance, airtight sealing, and slim sightlines that maximise natural daylight help reduce the operational energy demand of the buildings in which they are installed.

5. Supply Chain

We work with suppliers who share our commitment to environmental responsibility. Our supply chain is predominantly based in Switzerland and the EU, where environmental regulations are robust. We prioritise local sourcing where feasible to reduce transport-related emissions.

6. Continuous Improvement

Sustainability is an ongoing process. We regularly review our environmental performance, set improvement targets, and invest in research and development to reduce the material and energy intensity of our products.
